I’m Shay! I’m a certified Sisterlocks™ and Kinky Locs practitioner based in Missouri City, Texas (Houston area). Hair care has always been a passion of mine, and over time I’ve developed a deep love and respect for locs and natural hair maintenance. Inspired by the beauty and versatility of Sisterlocks™, I self-installed and maintained my own microlocs. That personal experience allows me to understand the care, patience, and consistency that locs require and I bring that same attention to every client I serve. My goal is to provide a calm, supportive experience where you feel confident, educated, and cared for. Locs are more than a hairstyle, they’re a journey of self-love, growth, and embracing your natural beauty. I’m honored to support you through each stage of that journey. Please arrive alone. Availability Update Appointments open as my work schedule allows. Returning clients receive priority booking notifications. Thank you for your patience and continued support. Health & Safety Please reschedule when you are sick. Cancellations & Rescheduling Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made within this timeframe will have their deposit applied to a future appointment. Payment Methods Accepted forms of payment include Apple Pay and in-app payments. Client FAQ How far in advance should I book my next appointment? I recommend booking your next visit at checkout or within a few days of your appointment. Availability is limited and fills quickly, especially for priority time slots and upgrades. ⸻ What is a Priority Client? Priority clients are established clients who maintain a consistent schedule. They receive first access to booking availability, earlier scheduling options, and priority consideration for salon suite or home visit upgrades. ⸻ I’m not sure what service to book. What should I do? If you’re unsure which service to select or how often you need maintenance, please book a consultation. We’ll discuss your loc type, maintenance schedule, and expectations so you can confidently book future appointments. ⸻ Do you work with Sisterlocks™ clients? Yes. Please indicate during booking if you are: • an existing Sisterlocks™ client, or • seeking a Sisterlocks™ installation This helps ensure adequate time and proper scheduling. ⸻ What is the Private Salon Suite Upgrade? The Private Salon Suite Upgrade is an optional add-on for clients who prefer a salon setting rather than a home-based appointment. It includes a private suite and wash service. • Upgrade price: $175 • Deposit required: $100 (non-refundable) • Offered based on availability • Must be added to a booked service • One salon upgrade available per day ⸻ Why is there a deposit for the salon upgrade? The deposit secures the salon suite and required arrangements for your appointment date. This cost is incurred in advance and is non-refundable if canceled or rescheduled. ⸻ Do you offer home visits? Yes, home visits are available as a premium upgrade for established clients only. • Home Visit Upgrade: $187 • Deposit required: $125 (non-refundable) • Location must be approved prior to appointment • Offered on limited availability • Must be added to a booked service ⸻ Why do home visits cost more? Home visits include travel time, setup, breakdown, and limited daily availability. The upgrade reflects the added time, logistics, and convenience of receiving services in your home. ⸻ Are add-ons available as stand-alone services? No. Add-ons must be booked with a service and are subject to time and availability. ⸻ What is your cancellation policy? Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. • Service deposits may transfer based on policy • Salon and home visit deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable ⸻ Can I bring guests to my appointment? No additional guests are permitted during appointments to maintain a calm and focused environment. ⸻ How do I contact you with questions? You may reach out via text, email, or messenger. Please allow up to 24–48 hours for a response. ———- Rebooking is handled through the waitlist. Clients join the waitlist for the week they are aiming for, and requests are approved once my schedule opens. If there is no availability, the request will be declined. ———- What if my waitlist request is declined? If a waitlist request is declined due to availability, you may submit a new request for a different week or check back when availability opens again.
